Abstract
Assuming a uniform distribution of the positions and a Gaussian distribution of the size for the pores, we find that the total energy of a porous particle in an applied field depends on not only the porosity but also on the number of pores. The calculated results show that the reduction of the coercivity of the porous particle results from the porosity, the pore shape and the number of pores. © 1992.
