Abstract
Jing Fang’s study on the Book of Change is the third most important theory on disasters in the Han Dynasty. While many of his articles have been lost, the existent ones can be classified into two types: comments on the Book of Changes and theories on disasters. This article analyzes the styles of more than 70 entries in the “Records of the Five Elements,” Book of Han, and traces later records of Jing Fang and text divination.
