Abstract
The purpose of this project is planning to examine the root reason why the Emperor Ch’ien Lung paying so much attention to pottery making through the viewpoint of connoisseurship in ceramics. Besides, this project aims to discover the political intention hidden behind the imperial wares at Ch’ien Lung period. In other words, this project endeavors to gather together and analyze the poems and writing authored by the Emperor Ch’ien Lung and the documents from Qing-Gong Work Department to reach at the goal of the project. Secondly, from the standpoint of the area of East Asia, the project is going to explore the ceramic restoration from Qing-Gong Work Department , in order to reveal Ch’ien Lung emperor’s ideal towords the restoration of ceramics.
