Abstract
Reducing standby power of the power supply or converter is more and more important, because of emphasizing power management and energy conservation today. The burst mode circuit in this thesis is applied to the quasi-resonant mode flyback converter to reduce switching loss and conduction loss under very light load and no load.
The burst mode circuit in this thesis is actually applied to green mode operation of the quasi-resonant mode flyback converter. The basic circuit architecture is from the relaxation oscillator. The manufacturing technology of the burst mode circuit is 0.5μm、2P3M CMOS process. The designed functions of the burst mode circuit are verified by the experimental result.
