Abstract
The newly setup noble gas mass
spectrometry laboratory at Department of
Geosciences, National Taiwan University is
able to measure fluid samples now.
However, we have tried to improve the
purification line to lower down its
background. Meanwhile, we installed the
crusher in vacuum for crushing solid samples.
In addition to the normal air standard, we
have also setup helium-enriched standard gas
for calibration to increase the precision of
helium isotope measurement. Considering
the variety and feasibility of the application of noble gas geochemistry in geo-science, the
setting up of the analysis technique for solid
samples will be helpful for future exploring
the potential applications of noble gas
geochemistry around Taiwan.
