Abstract
The main goal of the integrated project,
Kuroshio Upstream Dynamics Experiment
(KUDEX), is attempting to understand why
and how the Kuroshio varies in its upstream
area and in the areas southeast of Taiwan
and east of the Luzon Strait. Modern
technology and sophisticated devices and
tools are used. The KUDEX office provides
administrative services as well as technician
supports to all sea-going experiments. Aside
from this, the service project is also in
charge of the task of developing modern
techniques, such as Seasoar, Radar remote
sensing and softwares for analyzing the
echogram from EK500. All of these had
been proven to be a useful and promising
tool for many sea-going experiments.
