Abstract
Successive projections on to convex sets method is used to design a class of time-constrained FIR digital filters. This class includes Nyquist filters, partial response FIR filters and Yth-band filters. This method is fast and very effective for the filters with some time- and frequency-domain constratnts. The well-known Parks-McClellan filter design program is not suitable for designing these kinds of time-con-strained FIR filters. © 1989 IEEE
