Abstract
The analysis of the historical role of the bronze art from San-hsing-tui excavation – a case study of the regional style of bronze art. During the period from 14th.c. to 11th.c. B.C., the art ritual bronze vessels had been developed as the main stream spreading over the areas north to Laoning, eastern to Shantung, southeastern to Suichuan, northwestern to Ordos region. Besides a low proportion of bronze vessels were casted, the bronze art at San-hsing-tui were mainly casted as human or god sculptures, bronze trees with bird sculptures and other animal sculptures, etc. It is so unique to the main stream of the bronze art centered at the metropolitan Anyang, that San-hsing-tui bronze art had its significant historical role. As a case study, the unique of San-hsing-tui bronze art will be analyzed its foundation and formation of the regional style and the degree it opened to the main stream to influence or be influenced visa versa.
