Abstract
In this paper, Pt nanoparticles were deposited on TiO2nanocrystals with coexposed {101} and {001} facets by photodeposition and chemical reduction methods using H2PtCl6or Pt(NH3)4Cl2as precursors, respectively. The deposition method and Pt precursors exhibited great influence on the particle size, distribution, and chemical states of Pt nanoparticles, which further affected the recombination of photogenerated charges. The Pt/TiO2catalyst prepared by chemical reduction of H2PtCl6had the highest H2and CH4yield of 9.9 and 4.6?£gmol?g??1?h??1, resulting from the lowest recombination rate of photogenerated charges caused by the high Pt0/PtIIratio and homogeneous distribution of Pt nanoparticles over TiO2facets. ? 2017 Elsevier B.V.
