Abstract
We studied 130 adolescent patients with chief complaint of dizziness or headache in our department. Among them, 58 (44%) were diagnosed as basilar artery migraine and 35 (27%) as benign paroxysmal vertigo in childhood. Both accounted for the majority of adolescent patients with dizziness. As getting older, case number with basilar artery migraine increased, whereas that with benign paroxysmal vertigo in childhood decreased. This is possibly due to transformation between these two disease entities.
