Abstract
The easily accessible titanium isopoxide complex was selected as the starting material for the preparation of all catecholate complexes. The ammonium complex consisted of a discrete unit in which the cationic centre was coordinated by three chelating catecholate ligands. Purification by recrystallization gave rise to the isolation of crystalline samples in which anions precipitated out with counter cations and seperated from monomeric anions.
