Abstract
The bark of the Taiwan hemlock was found to contain long‐chain alcohols, acids and esters, campesterol, β‐sitosterol, 13‐epimanool, larixol, dihydroconiferyl alcohol and the corresponding esters, p‐hydroxybenzoic acid, kaempferol, epiafzelechin, epicatechin and a novel compound of (3,5‐dihydroxy‐2‐methyl)phenyl 4′‐hydroxybenzoate.
