Abstract
This paper proposes the fault-tolerant control of Hall-sensor-based field oriented control (FOC) motor drive. To overcome the transient current spikes at the fault instant, both Hall sensor state reversal and zero voltage vector are used to achieve the instantaneous fault identification and transient current compensation. This method realizes faster fault detection time and minimum transient current effect. A 3kW surface permanent magnet motor is used for experimental verification. ? 2021 IEEE.
