Abstract
Inspired by the announcement of SDGs and the recent campaign about the algal reef protection in Taiwan, this study introduces a novel methodology: view-based Federated Byzantine Agreement System (vFBAS), adopting functions from both view-based Byzantine Fault Tolerant algorithms and Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) in order to generate a faster proposal by electing a leader when there is no unanimously trusted leader. When faulty nodes constitute less than 7 percent of the network, vFBAS may be a more efficient FBAS implementation than SCP. Environmental monitoring system with vFBAS applied are more likely to ensure uninterrupted collection of data and data integrity. ? 2021 IEEE.
