Abstract
This study employs data envelopment analysis (DEA) method to measure the
relative efficiency performance of 39 branch libraries of Taipei Municipal Library.
In particular, this study will employs DEA with the choice of inputs and outputs
being specific to sample libraries to estimate efficiency scores, and then specifies a
multiple regression model to identify and evaluate factors associated with these
efficiency scores. The study also incorporate quality measures to verify customer
satisfaction concerning the libraries evaluated. The final benchmarking libraries
will be both efficient and effective.
