Abstract
Some catechol-related compounds such as dopamine and norepinephrine are reported to be very important neurotransmitters. It is well known that schizophrenia, melancholia and Parkinson's disease all related the abnormally releasing of these neurotransmitters in brain. Since the molecular clips composed by diphenylglycoluril units are reported to be good catechol binders. We plan to build new molecular clips by linking diphenylglycoluril motif with crown ethers and use them as receptor molecules to detect dopamine-related neurotransmitters.
