Abstract
The elastic fields of a dislocation in a general anisotropic strip are analysed. The analysis is made by using the Stroh formalism for anisotropic elasticity in conjunction with the Fourier transform. The surfaces of the strip are considered either free or fixed. The image forces on an edge dislocation in tungsten and potassium are computed as functions of the position of the dislocation and the inclination of the slip planes. The interactive forces between two like dislocations on the same slip plane are also calculated. © 1995 Elsevier Science Ltd.
