Abstract
Based on The Philippine Islands edited by Emma Blair and Alexander Robertson, this thesis discusses the Sino-Philippine trade from late 16th Century to early 17th century and the Manila Massacre in 1603, and tries to explain why the Sino-Philippine trade rose to a high peak in around 10 years later.
