Abstract
This thesis is to explore the effective way of implementing learning and knowledge management in an organization.
In the era of 21st century, the market dynamic and mercurial has significantly increased. Thus, the challenges that majority organizations encountered include global competition, shortening of the product cycle, aging workforce, merger and acquisition, niche player…etc. These challenges have significantly changed the organization's human resource skill and competency requirements. Furthermore, they have also changed the organizational competitive advantages; go to market model and value proposition. To overcome these challenges, organizations need to have the capability to quickly identify the skills and knowledge gaps, build the learning and knowledge content, and establish the right technology platform to enable employees to learn, create, share and contribute the knowledge at any time, any place. Organizations also need to develop the right measurement system and processes to form the right culture and behavior, which will continue enhance the organization's human resource capability and performance to agilely response and adopt the changes while maintaining the competitive advantage. To achieve the above objectives, the effective implementation of learning and knowledge management becomes the vital initiatives in organizations.
