μeμ and the electric dipole moment of the neutron in left-right-symmetric models

Abstract
We observe that the recent results on μeμ enable us to place a lower bound on the left-right mixing parameter 3/4 in pseudomanifest left-right-symmetric models: tan3/42.0×10-6. We give the complete expression for the neutron electric dipole moment Dn and show that it satisfies Dn<7.6×10-24ecm. In a particular model, due to Chang, we can relate Dn to μeμ and place limits on Dn:1.9×10-26|Dn|1.9×10-27ecm. © 1988 The American Physical Society.
