Abstract
This study shows an increase in LAA flow after PTMV in both normal sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation. These results suggest that relief of mitral stenosis may not only confer hemodynamic benefits for the improvement of symptoms but also have a favorable influence on future thromboembolism. © 1995.
