Abstract
Geodetic control network is the foundation for all surveying tasks. The optimal design for a geodetic network is thus an important issue. However, most of the previous study regarding to network design depends extensively on the experience, therefore more improvements are required in terms of efficiency and reliability. This study focuses on adopting the simulating annealing method for an automatic network optimized design of long-chain control networks. Based on the results from the case studies using both simulated and real data sets, it has been illustrated that the proposed approach makes possible an efficient network optimization analysis long-chain networks. As a consequence, the quality of the surveying tasks in the tunnel can be thus ensured.
