Abstract
This paper contains two new editing Xiqu plays One week messenger and The Dream Tamer and their creating report. The first play is about Chang Er, a vagrant, who is captured to the underworld and becomes a messenger for seven days to deliver dying people. The second play is an adaptation of Seagull and The legend of Lady White Snake. To explore possible depth of performing arts on Xiqu, this two plays attempt to combine modern concept and experience with traditional Xiqu language, together with the experiment of translating modern poetic language into Xiqu ways.
