Abstract
Public construction is the foundation of a nation's establishment of infrastructure. It can reflect the economic development of a society. Whether public construction is successful or not depends heavily on the construction quality at each phase of the construction projects. This study is based on the perspective of the project owners, to probe into public building construction from its carrying out to perform the agreement.The main focus of this research is to study what are the factors that would influence owner’s overall satisfaction.
This Research adopted the empirical approach of study, collecting the building construction projects, such as schools, hospitals, airports, substations, official buildings, parking lots, dwelling and living quarter with the projected budget over NT$50 million from Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Department of Health, Construction and Planning Agency, National Police Agency, Department of Rapid Transit System, City Governments and County Governments.The study uses survey through questionnaires, and adopting Eviews software to do the “Multiple-Regression-Analysis”, in order to know the significant factors that influence owner's overall satisfaction, so as to provide the government to promote the quality of public building construction.
