Abstract
In recent years, ferroelectric photovoltaics have been widely studied. In this paper, we propose a new photoconductive piezoelectric polymer using a composite of poly[vinylidenefluoride-co-trifluoroethylene] (P(VDF-TrFE)) and titanyl phthalocyanine (TiOPc). This novel composite material has excellent piezoelectric efficiency as well as excellent photoconductivity with visible light. The addition of TiOPc particles to P(VDF-TrFE) extends the light absorbance band to the visible light region. In addition, a photosensitive piezoelectric sensor was also created using a composite P(VDF-TrFE) and TiOPc thin film. From our results, we can adopt our composite material of P(VDF-TrFE) and TiOPc for applications such as particle manipulation in microfluidic biochips. Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
