Abstract
In this thesis, we create a 3GPP WCDMA Enhanced uplink simulator in the ns-2 that is based on EURANE. We create a new MAC-e entity and corresponding PHY entity for the E-DCH link model in NS-2. We also propose simplified two scheduling strategies that are applied to transport block size (TBS) selection in the MAC-e. The scheduler in the MAC-e select the TBS in a time transmission interval (TTI) for uplink transmission. The scheduling strategies are Non-Scheduled Mode and Round Robin scheduling. we use our simulator to evaluate the performance of those scheduling strategies and the availability of our E-DCH link model in ns-2.
