Abstract
Electrocoagulation and calcium
precipit-ation processes are combined to treat
high fluoride containing wastewater. Results
from the batch experiments indicate: (1) the
charge loading applied of the system should
be over 500 coulomb/L to have a idea
treatment efficiency, (2) high phosphate
concentration leads to low removal of SS and
[F-], (3) the optimum acidity is equal to the
initial fluoride concentration.
The results from the continuous system
indicate: (1) the concentration of SDS should
be over 30mg/L to have a idea treatment
efficiency; (2) the flow rate should be in the
range of 200 ~600 ml/min; (3) the phosphate
and pH also influence significantly on the
removal of SS and F-.
