Abstract
Intercommunication between Network managements and Network devices is needed. Snmp can supply this kind of need. Snmp is a simple protocol for managing network devices and it is popular. Many commercial companies develop software which is not free to satisfy the need of users. In this paper, I use and extend the open source code about the snmp by myself and make that it can supplies all of the snmp functions. especially focus on the snmp trap. Snmp trap is the one of the most important functions. It can help the managers to understand what happen when the devices have trouble.
