Abstract
Excitations in polymer thin films were studied using a microscopic model. The nature of excited states in high energy region was compared to the species present in solution phase. The presence of energy transfer, vibrational relaxation and dissipation in the decay process of excited states was proposed. The results were confirmed by simulations of time-resolved photoluminescence spectra.
