Abstract
One high-performance, low-power and
real-time “On-line Handwritten
Character Recognizer” will be
proposed in this project. This project
involves the character recognition
algorithm and special hardware
architecture. The main function of the
hardware chip is to handle handwritten
English, numbers, and special symbols
with real-time input and recognize.
Because the matching is the most timeconsuming,
we use the hardware to
reduce the load of RISC CPU. This
year, we complete the hardware design
and simulation.
