Abstract
In this study, a novel type of CPW coupled-line bandpass filters is proposed, using additional lumped-elements to realize J- or K- inverters in conventional parallel coupled-line bandpass filter structure.
The proposed filters feature half the circuit area of the conventional ones, and exhibit no repeated passband at twice the center frequency. In addition, by introducing the cross-coupling effect, two transmission zeros at upper and lower stopbands may be created. The design method and the mechanism of the proposed filters are established and described in this thesis, so one can design the filter easily with the given specifications.
Finally, we provide two approaches to improve the performance of the proposed filter, and the simulation results agree quite well with the measurements ones.
