[2]Rotaxanes, which are supramolecular compounds comprised by annterlocked macroring and a dumbbell-shaped thread component, are importantaterials for constructing molecular electronic devices. We reported a new solvent-freeeaction for rotaxane synthesis. The formation of pyridazine through the Diels-Aldereaction of terminal alkyne and 1,2,4,5-tetrazines can be achieved in good yields. Thisethod that can be applied to interlocking crown ether/DBA+ ion system.
