Abstract
Drug addiction is a chronic condition characterized by compulsive use, emotional instability, and cognitive impairment. However, there is a notable lack of research on tailoring VR scenarios for its treatment. This paper is an extension of our work on the CravingProbe system, which presents VR scenarios with drug cues aimed at inducing cravings in patients as a focus for introspection and discussion with therapists. Here, we present a newly developed interactive interface for use by therapists during therapy sessions. The operation of the interactive interface will also be illustrated in a practical demo, in which the authors act as patients and conference attendees act as therapists operating the new interface.
