Abstract
The result of in-situ investigation in 99
peaks show that the slope ranges 50 o to 85 o
and 60 o to 70 o with more than 50%. The dip
direction of the slopes is random and that of
gravel is between 80 o ~ 220 o . The
intersected angle of dip direction of the
slopes and the gravels ranges 28 o to 139 o .
Four gravel shapes distributed in the study
area which include disk, equant, bladed and
roller. Disk and equant shape comprise
more than 65%.
The results of Juo-Feng-Err-Shan
regression analysis demonstrate that except
the grain roundness, all of the other rock
textures have clear relationships with
mechanical properties. These relations
include: the grain size is negative with
point-load strength, and positive with basic
friction angle. The packing properties is
negative with point-load strength. On the
other hand, the main grain contact of rock
material is non-contact, the relative content
of each contact type has clear relationship
with point-load strength and basic friction
angle.
