Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of photovoltaic industry, growing multicrystalline silicon crystals with high quality and low cost for solar cells has been very important for photovoltaic electricity to reach grid parity. In this chapter, the crystal growth of multicrystalline silicon crystals is introduced. Some key issues in the control of impurities and defects are discussed. The latest developments are reviewed as well. © 2015, 1993 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
