Abstract
In many situations, an ideal display surface for a projector is not available. We may want to project images on curved and non-planar surfaces. The environment-adaptive display can be accomplished given that the geometry information of the scene is available.
The camera-projector system is a low-cost 3-dimensional range sensor. Our system uses a digital camera with 640x480 resolution and DLP(Digital Light Processing) projector. Based on the three different techniques, multiple-shot scanning, one-shot scanning, and active stereo, the depth could be obtained via triangulation. In this thesis, we use the camera-projector systems to reconstruct the 3-dimensional model of the target object in the
the ambient lighting environment.
