Abstract
Abstract Four additional phenolic bases ‐ laurotetanine (2), asimilobine (3), norjuziphine (4) and juziphine (5) ‐ were isolated during the reinvestigation of the roots of P. formosana by combination of centrifugal partition chromatography and common separation methods. The latter two bases are first isolated from Lauraceous plants. Their structures were elucidated mainly by NMR spectral analysis.
