Abstract
In this experiment, we expect to present an integral research of combustion and micro-explosion of diesel droplets. We use diesel as main liquid fuel, and produce different combined droplets by adding or impacting other other liquid fuels, that including methanol, ethanol, propanol, benzene, and MTBE.
As a result, we discover diesel droplets that combined with benzene, MTBE, and propanol, whatever added or impacted into diesel, don’t have any obvious effect in increasing burning rates or micro-explosion, even reducing burning rates or micro-explosion. On the contrast, if we use benzene, MTBE, and propanol as additives and premix them with methanol or ethanol, then impact with diesel droplets, these additives can increase burning rates and micro-explosion more easily.
