Abstract
This preliminary qualitative interview study explores information seeking behavior among international students for adaptation. We investigated the types of information sought by international students, the considerations they held while obtaining the desired information, and the sources of information. The current result reveals that international students seek four categories of information, including local practices, personal need information, internationally specific information, and instrumental information. In addition, the international students relied on multiple sources to ensure the quality and accessibility of information. We propose design implications to support and match desired information and corresponding sources.
