Abstract
There is growing concern about the downgrade of Taiwan stock market form 2004 to 2007.ost reports mentioned Taiwan should take advantage of its industry clustering competence to build up a capital platform for Asian technology companies.his paper probes into the strategic industry niche of Taiwan and examines the feasibility of utilizing tech-sector clustering advantage to attract foreign companies to get listed in Taiwan.he analysis indicates that Taiwan technology sector has stronger herding advantage compared to Hong Kong and Singapore. However, when it comes to the competition with Korea,he tech-sector herding effect is relatively weak.
