Abstract
本研究主要是使用迷你乳化聚合法製備甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)與丙烯酸丁酯(BA)的乳膠顆粒,並於實驗中加入不溶於水的染料(Blue 70)探討反應過程中的成核機制,此外利用轉化率、部分轉化率、DSC、膠體粒徑和表面電位探討單體與粒子成核機制的關聯性。
另外實驗中也利用奧斯瓦老化效應、膏化線和相分離現象來探討單體液滴的安定性,並利用經驗式推算三成份單體系統的奧斯瓦老化速率。

The object of this study was to prepare poly(MMA / BA) latex by miniemulsion polymerization. Water insoluble dye (Blue 70) is added in the reaction mixture to investigate the nucleation mechanism during the polymerization. In addition, conversion, fractional conversion, DSC, colloid diameter and zeta potential data were used to investigate the relationship between monomers and particle nucleation mechanism.
Besides, Ostwald ripening effect, creaming line and phase separation were used to discuss monomer droplet stability. It is found that empirical equation would be used to calculate Ostwald ripening rate in three-component system.
