Abstract
Since 1979, PRC has proposed peaceful reunification to Taipei. The “One country two systems” became the frame-work of Peking’s essential policy vis-?-vis Taiwan. In order to realize this objective, the threat to use arm forces and the tentative to reduce Taiwan to a local government of the PRC are the two major means adopted by the mainland China. This paper has analysis focus on the strategy of Chinese communists to isolate Taiwan from international community after the end of cold war. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part intends to analyze the major principles of the PRC vis-?-vis Taiwan. The second part contends the analysis on strategy and tactics adopted by Peking to contain the ROC participation in the international activities.
