Sodium Ions Template the Formation of Pseudorotaxanes From BPX26C6 and Nonconjugated Amide and Urea Functionalities

Abstract
Herein we report that macrocycle BPX26C6 capable of forming pseudorotaxane-like structures which single, non-conjugated urea or amide moieties by templating sodium ions, which in turn allows the successful synthesis of corresponding rotaxanes.
