Abstract
Cross-boundary data collaboratives have become an emerging trend in Taiwan, encouraging government agencies to form collaborative partnerships with other public entities, social groups, non-profit organizations, and private companies through the use of open government data. This study focuses on exploring the recent development of related initiatives. Specifically, it investigates government agencies’ motivations to participate in and the dimensions forming cross-boundary data collaboratives. The preliminary findings are presented in this paper to spark discussions, and Taiwan government agencies’ perspectives can also be shared with public entities in other countries.
