Abstract
Adenocarcinoma (ADC) is the most common form of lung cancer; however, some other types of lung cancer can sometimes mimic ADC. It then takes experienced pathologists and special stains to make the correct diagnosis. Here, we present a patient with pulmonary pleomorphic carcinoma who was misdiagnosed with ADC, and was treated with pembrolizumab for 13 months. The diagnosis and treatment (including immunotherapy) are also reviewed. ? 2020 The Authors.
