Abstract
Monte Carlo simulation were used to study, the static and dynamic properties of a single linear polymer chain in a cylinderical tube. Different chain lengths were also considered. Simulation data was found to be consistent with the scaling laws, for the static results. It was found that with increase in tube diameter the chain became less extended and driving force for the chain to recoil back becames weaker. The nonequilibrium relaxation behavior of the chain was also studied. The relaxation process for the polymeric chain proceeded in synchronized manner in both axial and lateral directions.
