Abstract
As a sub-project of the joint project entitled “A Mobile Electronic Commerce
System,” this project, named “Design and Implementation of Data Mining and Data
Retrieval Algorithms in a Mobile Commerce System,” attempts to design data
allocation schemes for personal and shared data to enable mobile E-commerce. We
will carry out this project in a three-year span.
As addressed in other studies, the moving behavior of users is regular, and the
quality of service of the mobile commerce system can be greatly improved by
employing the user moving patterns with slight trade-off. In the previous year, we had
designed a user moving pattern analysis algorithm to capture the user moving patters
from the historical user moving logs. In this year, we develop data allocation schemes
for personal and shared data to increase the quality of service according to the
obtained user moving patterns. The experimental results show that the proposed data
allocation schemes can effectively reduce the data access latency of mobile users.
