Abstract
In this paper, we develop a microfluidic platform, composed of miniaturized microfluidic dropper and control system, for whole blood collection and on-chip plasma collection. User can collect 10 - 50 μL blood by pressing and releasing the suction on microfluidic dropper. Then, the blood would sediment and be filtered for plasma extraction by control system. The whole process only take 14.0 minutes and is fully automated. After the plasma is collected, the platform can perform incubation and washing process for oncoming sensor integration. We believe the platform can potentially achieve biomarkers measurement in point-of-care setting. Copyright ? (2018) by Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society. All rights reserved.
