Abstract
In this thesis, we consider a cache-aid joint beamforming design problem in the multicell multicast system with multiple groups that provide different multicast service. Inspired by previous work in the literature, we apply semidefinite relaxation (SDR) to perform joint beamforming design among the cooperating base stations. Hence, the joint beamforming design can enhance the performance of user who receives the worst signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR). We apply the wireless caching technology to reduce the bandwidth of backhaul link, and use the rateless MDS code to encode media files. We design the cache control and divide the joint beamforming into two transmission mode. In order to improve the performance of cell-edge users and reduce the backhaul traffic in busy hour, we propose a cache-aid joint beamforming algorithm. By our simulation results, we show that the proposed algorithm provides better performance compared to the existing multicast methods in the multicell environment.
