Abstract
In this project, we will study how the
concept of Norm and Mutation is constructed
and developed from the consciousness of
history, the atmosphere of time, the style of
literati life and then what’s the insight and
blindness of this conceptual structure. It will
include the following issues: the orthodoxy
of politics and literature, the controversy of
‘return to past’ or ‘renew to future’, the
formation and effectiveness of canon, and
finally reflecting on the loss of polycentric
dimensions of literary historic theories.
